Eastcliffe Caravan Park tote bag
Eastcliffe Caravan Park tote bag
Did you spend your holidays at Walton's Eastcliffe Caravan Park before it merged with the Coronation Camping Ground to become the Naze Marine?
It was owned by the Rt. Hon. A. Barnes (MP). Who helped to secure cheaper and more accessible transport opportunities for working families and individuals to access holiday and leisure destinations throughout Britain.
You probably also visited the Eastcliffe hotel over the road (also owned by Barnes) - which became the unofficial clubhouse of the local caravan parks and campsites.
We remember fondly the penny arcades, the childrens counter in the bar, and childrens rides that arrived when the Eastcliffe Hotel became the Naze Mariner, and also the Cellar Bar, before the building became flats in the 1990s.
